Effective October 21, 2026 · ADHDwear is a product of The Bailey Perspective, Greenville, South Carolina, USA.
The short version: Loop listens so you don't have to, and nothing is recorded. Speech becomes text on your phone, only the sentences that are a request plus your yes (or a promise you made out loud) are kept, and everything else is gone within seconds. Location stays on the phone. Nothing leaves your phone unless you turn on "Help improve Loop" or use Peace mode to share a reminder with your partner. The app is free, needs no account, and you can erase everything in one tap.
What Loop hears
- Always-on listening, on the device. While you wear a Loop (or, on Android, while the app's listening service is on), the microphone is live and speech recognition runs on your phone. No audio is sent to us or to anyone else, and no audio is written to storage, not even temporarily beyond the few seconds the recognizer needs.
- What is kept: a sentence that looks like a request aimed at you plus your agreement ("can you grab milk" / "yeah"), or a promise you made out loud ("I'll call the bank"). It is kept as text, as a reminder, on your phone. Loop buzzes once so you know; say "no" within five seconds and it is deleted.
- What is discarded: everything else, including other people's voices, the TV, and your own conversation around the request. There is no running transcript to scroll back through and no recording anyone could replay. Because nothing is recorded, the recording-consent laws of two-party states (California, Washington, Florida, Illinois and others) are not triggered; we still recommend telling the people you live with how it works.
- Tap-to-talk works the same way, on demand. You can switch Loop to tap-to-talk at any time in Settings; the Ring is tap-to-talk only.
- "Hey Loop" and the on-screen button in the web version use your phone's own speech recognition. Words you type or dictate stay on the phone.
- Voice replies: the words Loop speaks are rendered into audio on our server and cached by their text. That cache contains only Loop's lines, never yours.
Location
- With your permission, the app uses your phone's location in the background, all the time. That is how it knows you are pulling into the driveway, leaving work, or passing the bank or the dry cleaner you had a task for. On Android this shows as a persistent notification; you will be asked for the permission in plain language before it is turned on, and the app explains what it is for at that moment.
- Coordinates stay on the phone. Loop learns your places (home, work, your bank, your pharmacy) on the phone and, when you have a task for a type of place, checks a map database for other branches near your route. Those lookups are sent as a category and an approximate area, not as your exact position or your identity.
- You can limit it: "while using the app" still gives you car-exit and driveway reminders when the app is open; "never" turns the app into a time-based reminder tool. Place reminders simply stop.
What the app stores on your phone
- Your reminders, the places and routines Loop has learned, your buddy's name and voice choice, the phrases learned from your corrections, and which nudges you acted on. "Erase everything on this phone" in Settings deletes all of it.
- If you turn on speaker recognition ("who asks you for what"), a voice profile of the people who usually ask you things is kept on the phone only, so Loop can tell your partner from the television. It is never uploaded and is deleted with everything else.
Help improve Loop (optional, off by default)
Nothing about how you use the app leaves your phone unless you turn this on. If you do, the app sends us, without your name, email, contacts or account:
- anonymized phrase → trigger pairs ("the thing in the trunk" → car exit) and the corrections you made;
- the type of place a reminder was tied to (bank, pharmacy, home), never coordinates or addresses;
- nudge outcomes: whether a reminder fired, was ignored, was marked done, and roughly how long after.
Never sent: audio, transcripts of conversations, other people's words, names, contacts, exact locations, or anything typed into Peace mode. You can turn it off any time; what was already sent is kept only in aggregate and cannot be traced back to you.
Accounts (optional)
The app works fully with no account. Signing in with Google or Apple is only for backing up and syncing your reminders between phones and for joining "Help improve Loop". If you sign in we hold your sign-in identifier and your encrypted backup. You can delete your account and its backup from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete account); it is gone within 24 hours.
Peace mode
When you pair with a partner, our server holds a random device ID for each phone, the names you typed, the reminder text and its status (open, done, thanks), and your push-notification subscription if you turned notifications on. That is what lets a reminder travel between two phones. Leaving Peace mode deletes the pair and its reminders. Peace mode is free, forever.
Store and launch list
- Store orders: name, email, phone, shipping address and what you bought, as received from Stripe after checkout. Card details go to Stripe directly and never touch our server. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Launch list: the email (and name, if given) you entered to get the Kickstarter alert, with a one-click unsubscribe in every email.
- Donations: handled by Stripe the same way; we keep the receipt record required for the cause's accounting.
- Server logs: IP address and request path for up to 30 days, used for rate limiting and to debug problems.

Analytics
The website uses Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization to count visits and see which pages are used. The app sends no analytics unless "Help improve Loop" is on, and then only what is listed above.
What we don't do
- No selling or sharing of personal data with advertisers, ever.
- No recording. Listening is not recording: nothing you or anyone near you says is stored as audio or as a conversation transcript.
- No health or medical data. ADHDwear is a reminder product, not a medical device, and we never ask about a diagnosis.
- No required accounts, no passwords to lose.
Email
We email you to confirm an order, before it ships, for a refund, for a donation receipt, or (if you asked) about the Kickstarter launch. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Reply to any email to reach a person.
Children
ADHDwear is for adults and teens 13+. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; email us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
Switch to tap-to-talk, limit location, turn off "Help improve Loop", leave Peace mode, delete your account, or erase everything on the phone: all from Settings, no email needed. For anything we hold on a server (orders, launch list, Peace mode, backups), email admin@thebaileyperspective.com to see, correct or delete it. Store orders stay on file as long as needed for shipping, refunds and tax records. Residents of the EU/UK and California have the rights those laws give them; we honour them for everyone.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll post the new date here and, for store customers, the launch list and signed-in app users, tell you.
